Coming from celebrating Mother’s day yesterday is the inspiration for this weeks guided and sound meditation. Thursday 15th May
We will work with the energy of this week’s full moon in Scorpio to create an amazingly uplifting and self filling experience.
Today I share my experience with acknowledging our ancestors and how important this has become to me and how profound the benefits of working with this has been in my practice as an energy healer.
My first experience was attending a red tent session quite some years back.
Briefly, and my apologies if I don’t explain it correctly -A red tent gathering originated in the middle east where woman would all stay for the duration of the blood times of their cycle. In this time, they would share their experience and receive advice from the elders.
The first red tent session I attended was for a woman’s circle to be together and have an opportunity to unashamedly and openly share their feelings.
These sessions started with lighting a candle and honouring our grandmothers, mothers and then our own immediate family.
To be honest I had not thought of my grandmothers in my daily life. As one, I had never met, she passed before I was born and lived in a different country. The other passed when I was 10 and as an immigrant, she had not ever learned to speak English so the few times I met her we didn’t really communicate. I had no judgement on this and was what it was. However, when I said their names out aloud with lighting the candle, the most amazing thing happened. I felt them with me. And interesting I “felt” they were showing me their strengths. Even though I didn’t logically know what their strengths were, my grandmothers, came to be with me on that night, to share with me. Was so powerful and what I needed at the time.
In the last couple of years, a similar experience has come through for my clients in a session, from female and male ancestors.
As I do, I just go with the flow of what comes through in a healing session. Last year the importance of this process has been made clear to me with the awareness of family constellations. My first introduction was in watching the netflix series “another self” and whoa this got me investigating, I was so excited to see my experiences described in film. I learnt from this the name of the process is called – Family constellations. I went on to attend a workshop here in Fremantle run by a very talented psychologist.
The crux of Family constellation is – From the website of “Practice for Integrative Clinical Psychology & Authentic Change”
“When we look at our parents we see behind
them their parents and behind their parents are other
parents and so on through many generations. The same life
flows through all of them until it reaches us.”
Bert Hellinger
It is in honouring our parents, with all that they have given us,
challenging as that may sometimes be, that paradoxically we can be free.
My learning from attending this workshop is the experiences, sacrifices and achievements of our ancestors is what has brought us here in this life and that we “belong” Even with all the challenges our family relationships create. Our ancestors have given us the freedom of awareness and choice.
As an energy healer this opened up so much understanding of our relationships, whys and hows. Of how we can give back and receive experiences. With energy we do this gently and not having to know all the stories behind our ancestors. However, you might like to explore the conscious side of things from here. Acknowledging the past, releases stuck energy and opens up our present to “be” ourselves.
So amazing, the sense of belonging this brings is enormous.
With a guided meditation and the sound instruments guiding and supporting us, this Thursday we will feel how we belong and receive the
strengths from our female ancestors.
Please come and join us to experience this on a gentle journey with your soul. Uplifting and nurturing.
